runway looks - London fashion week pt. 3

Peter Jensen was there too, showing his new collection. parts of it i really liked, but some of it was too exaturated and almost norwegian. it seemed like he got carried away with the patterns, which had a funny, northern twist (all in blue'ish, black and white colours) - and on top of it all used too many layers. but the last part of the collection was brilliant, and that is the part i'm gonna show you all. here are some of my favourite outfits:

^ only parts from the northern styled looks i really liked

runway looks - London fashion week pt. 2 - Nathan Jenden

i was stunned discovering this designers new collection. it's a mix of every thing i love: heavy fabricks, colour blocking, leather, black.. it even has a twist of crazyness, but at the same time an inevidible touch of femininity and eleance. just look at the white, paper-like dress, with beautifully cut out shapes. it SO works for me!
this is my idea of a genious collection. this mmust be my favourite collection so far at London Fashion Week. so, enjoy:

(to be continued in next post, because there isn't room for more than 5 pictures at the time)

runway looks - London fashion week pt. 1

i completely fell in love with Acne's new collection. almost all black, heavy fabrics, and see-through, plastic like leggins, with a brown tone. GENIOUS! here are some of my favourite outfits, for you to see, "directly" from London:

oh yeah, and btw: i so so so loved the wedges used at the runway show. they were to die for! i'm gonna find out where to purchase them.

fashion as a way of art

is fashion art? yes, i do think so. and to all you disbelievers, i'll prove you wrong by showing only a single designer, named Gareth Pugh, and his stunning work:

well, i guess you could never actually wear those as an outfit, it's simply too extravagant and big (probably heavy as hell, as well), but the enormous amount of work behind theese, and the stunning result! that's what i call art. i'm stunned by it.
it's almost kinda goth?

i just discovered the most stunning beauty...

Georgia Frost. wow. came across her when i was making sets on polyvore, and i got struck by her overwhelming beauty. if i were a bi-sexual, i'd do her. for real. well, the result of the set you can see here:

i've really become a big fan of la garçonne. they've got the most genious brands, and it seems like they all work and cooperate together, as in one single brand. if you don't know the site yet, check it out. they've got some great clothes, some quite expensive, but it's seems worth it. http://www.lagarconne.com/store/index.htm?
here's an item from my wish list, none the less:

new Henrik Vibskov collection 'the tent city' (pt. 1)

..at Trés Bien Shop and in store.

uh, i've been waiting for this, and here it is! and even brilliant. unfortunately i hadn't got enough money to buy even a single piece from the new collection, when i was is Copenhagen, but i got to try it on, feel it, touvh it and breathe it in like the freak i am.
well, as seen before, he's used an african source of inspiration, which is very clear to see, and as his trademark, he still uses colour blocking and contrast, to bhighlight the before mentioned patterns even more. it seems like he's ttrying to play more with the material he's using. he's giving space to new, more bold and extreme ideas, and that's lovely and fresh. this is, all in all a truly exciting collection it is, and here you get peaks of some of my favourite pieces.

my obsession pt. 2

as a matter of fact i've just returned from the lovely Copenhagen, and here are some of my buys, which i think reflects parts of Aggy's style:

vintage like clutch, with a button lock and beautiful colours of the 70's, by H&M

wet look leggins in black, by Zara

striped vintage tee in colour block style, with a touch of pink - from the vintage store Kitsch Bitch

patterned, long-sleeved vintage tee, colour block style with red, white and black, from the vintage store kitsch bitch

well that's about what i could afford.

my obsession pt. 1

for the one who doesn't know me, i have a big obsession. and that obsession is called Agyness Deyn. she must be one of my fashion icons, because she dares trying new styles, mixing punk with colours, using colour block -outfits (very bright and edgy), with all types of accessories. as a big fan of vintage clothing my self, she is an obvious source of inspiration.

welcoming

hello all fashionistas out there!

so, this is the beginning of a new fashion era, or at least i hope so. this is my new fashion blog, where i'm going to highlight new trends. it's all about letting in the corky, different, weird and interesting styles, and just having fun with fashion. so this is going to include lots of things; sets from polyvore, fashion news, runway pics, street style (pictures i've taken myself) and lots and lots of other stuff.
i hope you'll enjoy this as much as i will.
